Press + Media Passes
Saturday 7th June 2025
Dane John Gardens, Canterbury
To request a pass, please scroll down to access the application form. After the event, you may upload photo albums to Pride Canterbury using the upload form on this page. We have a seperate page for our press + media kit. For interview requests, please contact us directly. We recommend that all our press + media pass holders gain a wide array of imagery throughout the day from start to finish to fully showcase Pride Canterbury, including our Parade.

The contents on this page are considered the terms and conditions of press + media passes at Pride Canterbury. In addition to this page, you are required to adhere to our General T&Cs.
If you have any issues at the event, you should not attempt to resolve this yourself + should instead contact our team.
-
Press must have registered in advance with Pride Canterbury to receive a press + media pass (see below). If you have not registered, please visit Pride HQ in the Dane John Gardens on event-day to enquire further.
Passes (in the form of a wristband) can be collected from Pride HQ in the Dane John Gardens. These must be collected before being able to access the Parade Staging Area or to photograph the parade.
When accessing the Dane John Gardens before the event opens, please access via Castle Row (refer to the ‘Site Access’ section on the Marketplace page for times + more details). After the event opens please enter via the Marlowe Avenue entrance (refer to the ‘Day Time Trader Entrance’ section on the Marketplace page for more details) and show proof of being on the press list to whoever is at the door to gain access. Pride HQ can then be found to the right-hand side of the fountain next door to the access for the backstage area.
-
Press are asked that when taking close up pictures of individuals or groups that verbal permission is gained. When photos are crowd shots, this doesn't need to apply.
Any photos taken may be used in Pride Canterbury material, credit will be given to the photographer. Pride Canterbury will also take our own pictures for publication during and after the event, including general crowd pictures. If an individual consents to having a photo taken, they also accept that photos of them may be used.
Where possible, please send Pride Canterbury CIC the photos after if you would like them considered for upload to our website and social media (with credits)! See below to upload.
-
Only a highly limited number of passes are available for the main stage. There is a limit to 3 photographers in the stage pit at any one time. Please be courteous to your media colleagues by grabbing your shot and then making room for the next person. No photographer is to be on the main stage without prior agreement. We ask those with stage access to still gain a wide breadth of imagery from all areas of the park.
If you have a community pass, not a main stage pass, then you may photograph the stage from the spectator areas.

Occasionally, we may provide some visibility of artist performance times across our stages. This must NOT be shared or photographed. We do not release any artist / stage timings to the public for the safety of both the artists + attendees.
Submit an Application
Please submit your application as early as possible to ensure it is processed in time for the event.
Photo Album + Credits Upload
Please use this form to upload photo albums after the event to Pride Canterbury. After uploading files, you can then specify the credits that Pride Canterbury should use when sharing your photos.
In the unlikely case that you are not able to upload the full photo album here, please upload one photo only, as this will then allow you to complete the mandatory form (this appears after upload) with your credits, etc, and in this form you can supply a link to where your full album is externally hosted for us to download. Please note, that this will delay us releasing your album as our team will need to manually upload this to the portal themselves.
