Canterbury, Kent

Pride Canterbury takes places in the beautiful Dane John Gardens (for the Pride Festival), within central Canterbury’s famous ancient city walls! Our Parade is on Canterbury High Street. The best way to get here is using public transport, and it’s super easy to do so. We strongly recommend arriving early as the main entrance will face delays during the parade arrival.

This year’s Pride Festival is FREE (no registration required) and opens from 11:00am on Saturday 8th June 2024. The main entrance to the Pride Festival is on Castle Street car-park, via the City Wall. Our accessibility entrance for those with accessibility needs or young children is located here. The team will direct you into the appropriate queue. Don’t forget, those without a bag will get in quicker!

Everyone is welcome to watch the Pride Canterbury Parade without pre-registering. Line the high street from 11:00 on Saturday 7th June 2025, wave your flags + banners, and cheer on the parade! Please leave a sensible gap for the parade procession to pass.

  • Canterbury has two train stations, Canterbury East [CBE] or Canterbury West [CBW], both operated by Southeastern Railway — these are on different train routes so your departure station may make one of these more convenient than the other. Click those links for the latest arrivals + departures information! You can buy tickets on their website, Trainline, National Rail, or your preferred train ticket platform.

If you arrive at Canterbury East, we recommend following our directions for travelling by foot (approx. 5 minutes).

When you arrive, please follow our directions for travelling by foot.

  • If you’re coming by car, we have several Park & Rides nearby (with cheaper parking!) that will take you on a quick bus trip to Canterbury Bus Station!
