Parade, Picnic and Party - it’s all on at Pride Canterbury
Saturday 15th June 2019
Pride Canterbury is a spectacular celebration of LGBT+ identity for the whole family set in the heart of Canterbury. Featuring a parade through Canterbury High Street, followed by live entertainment with food and drink in the Dane John Gardens. Join 20,000 other people to come together to celebrate diversity, equality and progress.
The Parade - Canterbury High Street
Line the high street and cheer on the Pride Parade, featuring live music, flag waving, banner holding, whistle blowing and a carnival atmosphere. The procession will feature many local organisations and groups, and some extra special characters to keep an eye out for! Taking part in the parade is by pre-registration only, so if you are not registered to walk in the parade, please enjoy the parade as it passes down the high-street.
Pride Canterbury - The Dane John Gardens
This year we are joined by a host of chart-topping performers who will get down with some of their greatest hits, some of the UK’s favourite tribute acts and Kent’s best talent for an afternoon of music, DJs and fun. Watch out for surprise guests and the programme on the day for details of who is performing when.
Enjoy the day with a selection of food and drink stalls, entertainment for all ages including various inflatables, and a Pride marketplace. Come and celebrate, kick back and relax – bring a blanket and have a picnic in the park!
Glitterbomb Official Afterparty at Tokyo Tea Rooms
The Pride celebrations continue at the official after party at Glitterbomb, Kent’s most popular LGBT+ club night. Expect the finest resident drag queens, the Glitterbombshell dancers and non stop pop until 3am. Tickets available now from Eventbrite.
